GST, customs & duties
Australia
For orders of goods worth A$1,000 or less, PackageOz collects 10% GST at checkout, as Australian law requires of online marketplaces. Orders above A$1,000 are cleared by Australian Border Force, which charges import GST and any duty on delivery. GST-registered businesses can enter their ABN at checkout and won't be charged GST.
New Zealand
For goods worth NZ$1,000 or less, we collect 15% GST at checkout. Above that, NZ Customs collects GST and any duty on arrival.
Other countries
We don't collect taxes at checkout. Your local customs may charge import taxes and duty when the parcel arrives.
Restricted items
Some foods, seeds, plant and animal products need biosecurity clearance in Australia and New Zealand. Sellers must list only items that are allowed to be imported.
